Raw Mango Chutney is a simple and tasty recipe, especially in summer after main course mango chutney makes your meal complete. After an ages I prepared this on last weekend. So thought to share with my friends..
Ingredient:
1. Chop 1 raw mango
2. Half table spoon Mustard seeds and 1 whole red chilly for tadka/foron
3. Half cup sugar
4.1 table spoon refined oil
5. One fourth table spoon of turmeric powder and salt to taste
Method:
1. Heat the oil and add mustard seeds
2. Once it splutters, add sliced mango and turmeric and salt. fry it for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add sugar and fry it. Then add 2 cups of water. Boil it for 7-8 minutes.Chutney is ready
Chef's Tips:
You can prepare a dry roasted spices and sprinkle on the chutney. For dry spices; roast one forth table spoon of fenugreek seeds,onion seeds (kalanji/kalo jeera) each, one table spoon of cumin seeds and coriander seeds each and grind it. It would be a sweet and sou chutney but you can add more sugar if want to make it sweet chutney.
